Lead Systems Engineer (Production, Administrator, Ops Engineer)
4 months - Belgium - Banking Sector - ASAP Start - €500 PER DAY
Systems Engineer needed to lead the operational activities in the team and actively contribute to the testing of infrastructure services and applications bringing them into production and resolve any identified incidents
The chosen Engineer will have:
- Solid knowledge/experience with virtualization, containerization and cloud (eg VMware, Virtual Box, Azure, DBaaS, CDaaS)
- Solid knowledge and proven working experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (eg WAS, NGINX)
- Knowledge and proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux/Unix based environments.
- You build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks with solid Scripting skills (eg Shell Scripts, Python)
- Knowledge/experience with monitoring systems
- Affinity/experience with technical application maintenance.
- Affinity/experience with Risk- and Security control (incl. reporting, control dashboards)
- You implement all mandatory security standards to ensure IT risk is and remain under control
- You analyse and solve incidents and problems.
- You perform Life Cycle Management (including decommissioning) for IT products under management.
- Write fully automated tests (eg, unit-, functional-, non-functional- and integration testing)
- Build, enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks
