Performance Engineer (Script Programming)
Winchester, Hampshire
3 months initially (long term expected)
£39 per hour - Inside IR35
A preference to have someone who is able to do script programming of which Perl is preferred. If you've done Scripting in other languages that would be ok. Understanding of storage/SAN infrastructure admin and some performance analysis is also required along with SVC skills.
Job Description: Positions are opened for Spectrum Virtualize Performance Test. Responsibility covers design, development and execution of performance and benchmark tests, measurements and reports.
Job Requirements:
- Rich experience as Storage/Unix Administrator
- Rich experience with VMware
- Experience in writing Python, Perl, Shell, and C languages.
- Knowledge/experience with SVC
- Knowledge on Container Technology is a plus, like Kubernetes, Docker, CSI, ELK, or Prometheus
- Skills on protocols is a plus, like NFS/CIFS/ISCSI/FC.
- Skills on administrating storage arrays is a plus, like NetApp, IBM Storages, Dell EMC.
- Knowledge on performance benchmarks is a plus.
- Highly motivated and independent, good in solving complex problems
- Strong communication skill, fluent in written and oral English
- Good team player, open and active working manner, responsible and taking initiatives
