JavaScript (Vue.js)/Django Developer, Exciting graduate opportunity, Contract OR Perm

Digital Skills are working with a small, however well-established company, based in Berkshire. The client is a software development company, producing some innovative and well thought out digital products and services. The client is on a significant growth trajectory and are looking to hire some talented developers to join the team.

About the role and you

The client requires candidates from a strong mathematical background; having the ability to answer and solve mathematical problems logically. For this reason, the ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Maths or in a highly numerical STEM degree.

You will join a team of highly capable developers and will be responsible for writing features, branches and merge requests. The development team work remotely, using Visual Studio and Gitlab and you will be given requests to build features, APIs or similar.

Working as part of a team; you will develop Front End features, websites, apps, products and APIs.

The technical Skill Set required is:

  • Excellent JavaScript Development - Ideally in Vue, however React or Angular will work
  • Highly skilled in Vue.js/Django - for Front End
  • Experienced in Gitlab
  • Exposure to Linux is preferable
  • Experience working in Open Source environments (ideally contributing)

About the Client

The company is flexible about how they engage; this means that they are happy to hire on a contract basis, or to offer full time contract if required; they actively encourage flexibility with work and their standard model is to bring on developers on a more casual interaction and over time build a working relationship that works for all, be that a regular salary, or per hour work.

The organisation is a small company with roughly 15 employees; based in the Reading area. They have a strong team focus and; whilst working remotely, they regularly meet up for activities, hacks and brainstorms. The culture is one of problem solving, hard work however extreme flexibility - you can chose the hours you work; you can use different tools, book whatever training you feel will help - that is absolutely guaranteed.

If you are ambitious, curious and mathematical, this role will be very well suited to you. There is no need to have previous commercial experience, recent graduates (or those who are about to graduate) with excellent educational achievements are very welcome to apply.
