Description
Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of EMEA Tax Manager, reporting into the Head of Tax EMEA, you will be responsible for supporting the management of the tax affairs of the group for the EMEA region across all taxes.
This is a six-month contract, outside of IR35 paying £300 - £340 a day.
The Role
Working for a global organisation located in Glasgow (the role will be conducted remotely for now), the tax team consists of 2 additional persons and covers both direct and indirect taxes across the EMEA region, with the majority of tax compliance outsourced to a third-party provider.
Duties and responsibilities
As tax compliance is outsourced, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the group meets and maintains its compliance obligations
- Providing data as required, and resolving any issues with data quality
- Responding to compliance related queries
- Reviewing filings prior to submission
- Overseeing the posting of journals and processing payments
You will also be responsible for providing a broad range of tax advisory services
Experience Required
- CA/CTA or equivalent qualification essential
- Technical knowledge of insurance and financial service industry is preferable
- International experience essential
- Working knowledge of UK and US GAAP
- Experience of Oracle, Hyperion and Global Access or similar packages preferable
