Description
Solution Engineer/Junior Architect (TOGAF, Technical Architecture)
The Solution Engineer collaborates with and is a sparring partner for the Engineering Team, PO and within the area of responsibility. The Solution Engineer also works with the Enterprise Architects.
The activities take place in the Netherlands in an international context, due to our alliances with vendors abroad, and the post-holder will therefore need to be able to deal with cultural differences. The Solution Engineer is co-located and is therefore also in direct contact with the Stakeholders. The post-holder participates in Agile team meetings, especially at the start of a Sprint, in order to transform business demand into functional components. The Solution Engineer plays a decisive role in the architecture of the Grid(s). He/she maintains the architecture (Current State Architecture) and works towards a better, desired architecture for the Grid(s) (Future State Architecture). He/she does this by formulating an architectural solution (Solution Intent) for every change requested by the Business. The complexity of the role lies in supervising and supporting, requiring in-depth substantive knowledge of the Grid(s). In addition to substantive knowledge of the Grid(s) for which he/she works, the Solution Engineer must also be familiar and comply with the Standards and Guidelines as supplied by the Enterprise Architecture (CADM). The Solution Intent is a sustainable rather than short-term solution and incorporates the mid-term vision and a roadmap for the Grid(s), working towards the Future State Architecture.
