Performance Test Lead - SC Cleared - up to £425 per day - Outside IR35
Digital Skills are working in conjunction with a large and high profile, Central Government department. The organisation are undergoing a number of technology-led innovations and transformations, including the development of cloud-hosted, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a service (SaaS) and integrations with other government departments.
As part of this ongoing growth, the client requires an experienced, Performance Test Lead with experience working in agile environments and can demonstrate familiarity with core and advanced feature set available in at least two major load test tools (eg JMeter, Gattling, NeoLoad, LoadUI, eggPlant Performance).
The ideal candidate will have current SC Security clearance.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 2/3 days a week from the office in Croydon
Responsibilities include:
- Test Planning (including Analysis of HLD/LLD and performance NFRs)
- Leading the performance Engineering team
- Provide input to sprints and plans
- Test Scoping (including Volumetric Analysis & Product Risk Assessment)
- Develop detailed Test Plan (including Environment, Data, Scheduling, Load Injection, Monitoring,
- Tooling and Resourcing considerations
- Interpret test results and present your findings
The environments that you will be working on are looking to take advantage of the latest in Microservice architecture and data services. You will be joining a busy team and a busy environment that will help support the development, build and integration of these environments by testing and automating of environments, alongside development teams.
You will be working in:
- Extensive experience in at least two of the major load test tools (JMeter, Gattling, NeoLoad, LoadUI, eggPlant Performance)
- Agile development
- Cloud Hosting experience (AWS)
- Test Preparation (including production of Test Scripts and Execution run book)
- Test Execution (including Validation runs)
- Containerisation - Kubernetes/Docker
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
This is a long-term contract, initially in 6-month chunks, however, the expectation is that you will secure 2-3 years of work; all outside of IR35.
