Description
Our client is seeking an experienced DB2 DBA to join their team in Lancashire.
Essential:
- Over 10 years' experience working on IBM DB2 from version DB2 versions 9.5 to 11.5 LUW (Linux, Unix & Windows).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of installation, upgrades & fix packs
- Performance tuning and analysis, identification of bottlenecks, running explains and analysing the output
- Good SQL knowledge, ability to work with Development teams to review DML/DDL and provide analysis, test and signoff
- Refresh lower environments for Development teams
- Solid experience of DB2 utilities such as backup/restore/reorg/runstats/load/import/export etc
- HADR experience including design and setup
- Linux/AIX experience
Desirable:
- Experience working on MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 on z/os or Sybase would be useful
- As would experience of DB2 BLU column organised data warehouse
- WebSphere Commerce schema knowledge would be an advantage
