Description
Our client, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting is currently seeking a Release Manager based in Krakow, Poland. WebEx interviews and immediate starts. This is a project that is funded and in collaboration with Google.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Acts as a process owner, support development teams during software and/or hardware release process from development to production. Plan, coordinate, monitor and manage software releases.
- Works with development teams to ensure proper configuration management processes are followed.
- Ensures a stable, controlled migration of software and/or hardware products into the production environment.
- Works with Change Management to implement the new releases following proper procedures.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and performance testing to ensure products meet functional and performance requirements.
- Communicates with stakeholders at different level: Senior Management, Software engineers, QA engineers, Operations, Product Owners.
- Supports complex projects during development and delivery.
- Sets up configuration specifications for releases.
- Manages release communication, release reports and release notes creation.
- May coordinate the delivery of functional requirements, user/training documentation and customer support plans.
- Increase efficiency of current deployment processes.
- Lead effort to introduce full CI/CD release pipelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in Release Management area.
- Excellent English communication skills; written and verbal.
- Very good understanding of software development life cycle.
- Advanced computer software skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Drive to get things done, takes ownership, can do attitude.
Nice to have' skills:
- Understanding of modern software development practices: continuous integration, continuous delivery.
