You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Senior or Lead Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Advanced ability in JavaScript
- Strong ability in React, Angular or Vue
- Established experience in a Front Office trading or brokerage environment, whether in investment banking, asset management, investment management or with a hedge fund
- Familiarity with Fixed Income, FX, money markets, equities or commodities markets
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Fixed Income- credit or rates products (government or corporate bonds) or derivative products (IRS, CDS, CDO, ABS, MBS)
- Exposure to the cloud, even if only in home projects- Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Derivatives
- Node, Java or Python
- RStudio
- Buy side experience
Role: Senior JavaScript Developer (Software Engineer Programmer JavaScript VueJS Vue Angular Python React ReactJS React-JS React.JS Front Office Trading Front Office Brokerage Investment Banking Manager Management Asset Hedge Fund Buy Side Buy-Side Fixed Income FX Money Markets Equity Equities Derivatives Derivative Commodities Rate Credit Cloud AWS Amazon Web Services Finance) required by our asset management client in London. You will be joining a team of five that are creating a range of products, with a Python, Java, ReactJS and AWS stack, for 'stable-value' Fixed Income portfolio management. This will be a range of tools that contribute towards decision making, portfolio modelling and market analysis. There will be some emphasis on the credit markets but experience in rates or other asset classes is appropriate. The work has already been running for 12 months but is still greenfield. It will involve immediate contact with the Fixed Income portfolio managers. This is a small team where the software engineers cover the whole cycle including testing, devops, engineering and business analysis. You will be using the whole AWS portfolio of products.
Hours are 9-5. There will be no, or very limited, travel. This is an excellent company to join with significant investment in technology.
