Cloud AWS Architect

Whitehall Resources require a Cloud AWS Architect to work with a key client based in Northamptonshire.

*Please be aware that the successful candidate will be required to use an umbrella company for this role*

Must have:
* Experience of shaping and defining solutions across disparate technologies that enable you to resolve a complex business issue with a simple and cost effective technology based solution.
* A broad and deep knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers.
* Expertise in at least one or more technologies used by the bank, specifically Salesforce or Cloud technology.
* Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
* The ability to exhibit deep technical understanding conveyed through crisp solution design walkthroughs.
* A never-say-die attitude to resolving complex business problems through ground breaking technical solutions.

Might have:
* Functional/Domain experience in Banking/Cards/Loans.
* AWS Solution Architect certification - foundation level or higher eg Associate level, is highly desirable.
* Exposure to API design strategies both for internal and external customer usage.
* Hands-on experience in architecting cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)
* Experience of Modern Architecture patterns eg Domain Driven, Event Streaming (CQRS based), Data lakes, API (eg MicroServices, Service Mesh, GraphQL/REST etc.), iOS/Android App (for channels).
* Hands-on experience with open source and proprietary technologies.
* Experience of working in DevOps operating model and associated tools eg JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Chef etc.
* Ability to manage technical product selection process, scope & execute Tech spikes/PoCs.
* Breadth of knowledge/Strong knowledge across Container (Kubernetes/Docker), Monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana), No SQL DB/Cassandra, Data Model, Machine Learning tools etc.
* Ability to understand Threat Vectors in cloud environment and design associated security/controls.
* Experience of working with service management teams.
* Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect training and certification, eg TOGAF.
