GIS Mapping Technician
Triad Group Plc is working with an established client in Glasgow to fill several roles on their Electrical Mapping project. We are looking for candidates from the Glasgow area or who are happy to relocate to the area. The contract on offer is long term, probably initially 6 months with a view to extending.
Ideally you will be a graduate with some experience of using ArcGIS or CAD software, you may have completed a degree that involved the use of GIS or CAD or used GIS/CAD software in some of your modules and found them of interest. Alternatively, you may have used GIS or CAD software in a commercial environment before. What is most important, is a desire to be using either CAD or GIS software and have a passion for mapping and creating great outputs.
Job Details
- Joining a large outsource team in the records department, divided into smaller teams.
- Digitising electricity assets using mapping software from engineers as laid sketches.
- Fast paced production environment, starting with high volume simple jobs, and then trained to interpret and digitise large complex schemes.
- Excellent eye for detail, accuracy, and care in your work.
- Use of ESRI ArcFM GIS platform.
This role has an immediate start date.
