CPS Group UK are delighted to be seeking an experienced Softlines Product & Graphic Designer to join a leading industry brand. The opening is for a Softlines Product Designer to work on a range of boys, men's and unisex products. The role requires a trend-driven Designer with fun Design handwriting to appeal to a wide range of consumer demographics.

The role will support the Design Manager in producing a high standard of exciting and fresh graphic artwork and product design for apparel, stationary, home and accessories.

The role involves working with the buying team, designing against a set brief and developing design team initiated looks.

Role & Responsibilities

*Produce exceptional own generated artwork and product design
*Brainstorm ideas and problem solve on creative together
*Provide regular process updates to ensure agreed design briefs are successfully executed
*Generate consumer relevant trend research and artwork
*A keen eye for colour trend newness and ability to create compelling palettes
*Produce unique graphic looks to rive artwork newness on product(s)
*Produce technically correct highly representative CAD's
*Produce accurate artwork colour matches
*Support the buying teams to ensure creative alignment

Experience & Professional Qualifications Required

*B.A. Hons (or similar) in a relevant discipline, eg Product/Fashion/Print Design
*Significant Fashion licensing graphic design on adult and kidswear experience is essential, either at a licensee, retail head office, design agency or supplier with knowledge of European market
*Proven consistent and successful commercial sales history on designs and demonstrate fresh inventive thinking
*Experience working with buyers, from design briefing to product execution
*Ability to personally create new and original graphic design assets from scratch with excellent mastery of Illustrator, Photoshop and other creative suite packages. A desire to always learn new graphic effects within the software.
*A good mastery of shortcuts within Adobe Software for a more effective pace
*Flexible design skill set with ability to work on other consumer segments as needed
*Excellent understanding and continual appreciation of all elements of design including illustration, pattern, page layout, colour, product design, consumer trends and fashion
*Experience in presenting creative in formal and informal settings
*Ability to create a storyline that integrates into trends inventively
*Commercially astute and able to translate new concepts into marketable, saleable product
*Cultural sensitivity
*Role requires flexibility and understanding regarding working across markets and cultures
*Ability to design with integrity and originality, upholding brand values
*A good eye for detail with an ability to also look at the bigger picture
