VMWare Support Engineer- Southampton/Remote - Contract - £200 Per day - 6-12 months duration

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Server Support Engineer for a global organisation based in Southampton.
You may be expected to undertake a variable amount of 'out of core hours' work, and will partake in a 24x7 standby rota for incident response/resolution.
You will be in the Server & Virtualisation Team. It is a small highly technical team tasked with ensuring the server and virtualisation estate is operational, performance, secure and supportable.
The role will be required to implement, configure, support and operate the server and VMWare virtualisation estate, more specifically:

- Enterprise Operating Systems
- VMWare vSphere
- VMWare Site Recovery Manager
- VMWare vRealise Operations Manager
- HP Intel Hardware including HPE Blade technologies
- Fundamental Windows Networking
- Scripting and Automation
- Windows Active Directory & Group Policy Management
- Monitoring utilising SCOM
- SCCM Patching and Software Deployment
Personal Skills
- Good telephone manner
- Full clean UK driving license with own vehicle
