Web Developer - 6 months - £ p/d
We have an urgent requirement for a Web Developer to join our large multinational client on a contract basis starting immediately.
We are looking for candidates that have experience working on a variety of exciting products and features within an Agile and creative development environment.
The core function of the role is to build and maintain bespoke partner websites, which will require an expert understanding of how the current system(s) work and support and resolve any issues that may arise.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Collaborate with internal planning/design team, to agree the correct approach for each project
- Build end-to-end, hand-crafted responsive partner sites from scratch, using HTML5, SCSS, OO JS and JavaScript libraries (jQuery)
- Build new features and modules against existing projects
- Use flags and REST API's to dynamically hook the Middle Tier logic with the Front End
- Build in React JS, new features and modules to consume the new micro services Back End
- Re-write Legacy code in micro service architecture and React JS
Technical Skills Required:
- HTML5 and SASS/SCSS to W3C standards
- OO JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
- Ajax/JSON and REST APIs
- Responsive Development
- Agile Environment
- Photoshop and Adobe XD (can manipulate designs)
Additional Skills (beneficial only):
- JSPs and JSTL and XML
- Jira
- TortoiseHg/Mercurial (or other Source Control software)
- VueJS or ReactJs (or similar JS Frameworks)
- Grunt/Gulp task runner
Please note that due to the current pandemic, these positions will all be remote based initially. However, my client may consider returning to working in their offices (based in central London) at some stage in the future.
