Data Handling & Security Manager

3 months initially

Part time - 3 days a week

Thatcham - Remote for the foreseeable

Our client is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK and Ireland involved in the production, storage, distribution and supply of gas and the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity and other energy services to over 9 million customers across their retail brands.

The successful candidate will provide ongoing support for the project with any data security and data handling requirements and will have good knowledge of Oracle based products (including E-business Suite and SQL), and a good understanding of data classification and types of data.

The successful candidate will have functional and/or technical experience of implementing or supporting Oracle E-business Suite and associated interfaces/integrations. Good experience with MS Excel to write queries and lookups a must. Some basic Unix knowledge an advantage.

You will helping to identify any project risks around data exposure (dealing with very sensitive HR related data) identifying mitigating controls and helping to ensure the project is aligning to any GDPR requirements or business processes and procedures around said data and it's management.

Experience advising of data handling options (and the secure transfer of data) and documenting these into whitepapers for wider circulation and review.

Our client require a pragmatic self-starter who can engage with multiple stakeholders and is flexible with responsibilities and supporting the project needs.

Essential experience:

  • E-business Suite experience required
  • Project management experience
