  • Senior C++ Compiler Engineer/Developer
  • Up to £650 per day
  • ASAP start and contract until end of March 2021
  • 100% Remote based
Working for a global leading software company we are looking for a Senior C++ Compiler Engineer/Developer to work remotely until March 2021.

This role is working on compilers for Automotive Safety and Performance using IoT technology

The work will cover various aspects of our tools: compilers, linkers and libraries. The candidate will collaborate with an agile team and optionally can contribute changes back to the open-source LLVM project also.

Day-to-day tasks will include updates to the toolchain features, improving the test coverage and ongoing maintenance of the toolchain, as well as enabling customers in new application areas to use the technology to its full potential.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Proactive fixing of defects reported by customers or highlighted by customers in the Defect Notification Report.
  • Fixing defects from the backlog.
  • Productization, ie testing and documentation, of community features requested by customers.
  • Develop high-quality, reliable toolchain improvements for the partners.
  • Contribute to open-source LLVM and related projects.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Solid C and C++ experience.
  • Compiler background is required, LLVM experience specifically is a big advantage but if not then GCC/GNU is also good.
  • Embedded development experience is an advantage.
  • Some DevOps/automation experience, preferably with Jenkins and Python.
  • Linux and Windows usage experience.
  • Safety or software quality background is preferred, ISO26262 experience specifically is a big advantage.
