Description

We are supporting our partner on an critical Infrastructure Data Programme, which requires a Data Specialist/Analyst to support the Delivery of their urgent data solution.

The role of the Data Specialist encompasses the design, development and optimisation of conceptual and logical data systems, Metadata management - design & build, policies, rules, standards, and tooling, and Data dictionary development & management

Knowledge & Skills:
*Stakeholder Management
*Metadata management - design & build, policies, rules, and standards, tooling
*Data dictionary development & management
*Change Management
*Detailed knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
*Domain modelling - to understand data-centric systems, data architecture, Datamodelling and database design principles
*Excellent analytical and organisational capabilities
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Understanding of regulatory requirements
*Strong stakeholder manager
*Effective communicator particularly in remote working environments

Essential Experience:
*Delivery & implementation of data dictionary and business glossary with clear business terms
*Implementation of data management standards and processes
*Analysis of data flows for critical business initiatives to develop and prioritise key metadata deliverables
*Experience with metadata management solutions
*Technical experience in data architecture principles and design
*Results-oriented, diligent, championing best practices for data quality supporting innovative approaches to metadata management
*Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels, including written and verbal communication skills
*Proven experience with solving problems on a wide range of data issues
*Experience working in a complex data management role
*Experience developing and delivering reliable logical and physical data models
*Evidenced ability to work with data structures and data models
*Evidenced experience working with database design or data architecture principles
*Creating and delivering training to educate Data Users

All work can be done remotely from the UK. Roles with varying levels of experience avaliable, hence large variability in rate.
