* Remote.* Big data specialist required to consult on the on demand reporting solution for a large transactional solution.
The candidate must:
- Have proven experience in big data analytics and reporting from multiple projects with data volumes in excess of 2 terabytes.
- Have experience of a wide range of analytics and reporting technologies.
- Be able to advise on the technical and financial trade-offs between possible solutions.
- Have experience with Microsoft technology and ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Be able to mentor and assist the existing development team in prototyping or implementing solutions.
The project is developing and maintaining a large healthcare related system with an broad range of reporting requirements. Reporting is mainly driven by raw data in the form of an audit trail stored in Azure Data Lake. Reports can be requested by many different parties at any time of the day.
We are seeking an expert in big data solutions for a project to assess the existing solution and either recommend improvements to that, or to propose an alternative approach using best practice. The candidate should then be able to coach the development team in implementing a long term solution to the reporting problem.
