You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a Backend Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Good ability in Back End languages/frameworks like Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, Node
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products (this can be rates, credit or other products)
- A good ability to work with and collaborate with Front Office business contacts - portfolio managers, risk, quants etc
- Some ability with JavaScript
- A constant desire to learn and improve your technical and business knowledge

Role: Software Engineer (Developer Programmer Software Engineer Fixed Income Bonds Rates Credit Python Java JVM Scala Kotlin C++ C# Derivatives Structured Products Bloomberg PORT Barclays POINT Performance Attribution JavaScript React AWS Amazon Web Services Front Office Front Office Trading Buy Side Finance Investment Management Asset Manager) required by our asset management client in London. You will be assigned to a Fixed Income performance attribution team that work with a combination of Bloomberg PORT and an in-house solution. The in-house solution is built, largely, in Python and React with some Node and Kotlin, although the future is set to be Python on the Back End. It is all hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and uses a lot of modern technology such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, Protobuf, Apache Spark, Apache Ignite.
The product works across the whole of the Fixed Income product range which includes all global products from rates to credit, ABS, cash, derivatives, G7 and emerging markets. The team has a significant pipeline of work coming up, including the modernization of the PORT space, both on the front and Back End and the extension of the products to cover equities. This is expected to last the next 18-24 months and has significant funding from the business.
You while offer excellent experience in Fixed Income from the buy-side. This will ideally include performance attribution and Python but Java or other Back End languages will be considered as long as you are prepared to make the transfer over.
