Description

Senior Engineer (VoIP/Skype) required to work with a Government Department. This is a 6 month contract, In Scope of IR35, paying £500-£575 per day. This is a remote contract (until such a time that office sites re-opens)

This role will specialise in VoIP Telephony and MS Skype for Business across a large and diverse organisation.

The role holder will work with their Team Manager to ensure that there is a clear strategy for the delivery of their specialist systems, supported by an appropriate plan for delivery. They will be required to manage or supervise the activities of more junior Specialist Engineers and contribute to their training and development.

The role holder is responsible for their specialist systems and must ensure that they deliver a consistent level of availability and performance.

This will include:
*Delivering ongoing systems maintenance
*Platform upgrades
*Bringing new services online.
*Working with other specialist engineers and ICT team members to deliver this.
*Responding to incidents and outages and take necessary steps to secure the service and minimise disruption to the business areas.
*Acting as a point of expertise for their specialist area and will provide advice, guidance and training as required, especially where this improves or enhances the service provided to end users.

Key Responsibilities
To deliver the following services:
*Incident and Request Resolution
*SIP Trunk management and migration
*Decommissioning Legacy PBX estate (Mitel)
*Skype for Business server support and service roadmap upgrades
*Co-ordinate Skype handset deployments
*Alcatel VoIP housekeeping/reconciliation
*Anywhere 365 Contact Centre deployments
*IVR support and projects
*Attendant Pro support and design (Landis Technologies)
*Contract management of large communication accounts

Essential Experience Required:
*Alcatel Lucent PBX
*Ribbon SBC's
*SIP Trunks and ISDN
*Microsoft Skype for business server
*Office 365 suite
*Managing systems for a large user base
*MCSE, MCSA
*Understanding of ITSM
*ITIL foundation
