Description

Intel/VMWARE L3

  • The Senior VMWare System Administrator shall have strong proficiency in the installation, configuration, and management of VMWare clusters using vSphere v6.7 and above supporting greater than 10000+ VMWare Virtual Servers, vRealize Operation Manager, vRealize Network Insight, vRealize Log Insight, UCS Manager & HP One View.
  • Responsible for leading and managing the administrative and design tasks for the virtualized & Microsoft server infrastructure
  • Deploys, configures, and maintains VMware infrastructure. Plans and manages workloads, projects, and other administrative tasks associated with the VMware & Server team.
  • Administration of Cisco UCS Manager & HP One View
  • VMware Administrator would be responsible for handling VMWare L2, L3 tickets and Tasks such as VM Commissioning, VMware Tools upgrade.
  • To provide technical support to clients at all times, and must respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution.
  • Good Understanding of shared storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Fiber channel, iSCSI, and NFS.
  • Manage and administration of DELL/Cisco UCS/HP C7000 Blades
  • Primary responsibility to deploy patches with ESXi Servers on time.
  • Drive root cause analysis and provide feedback to improve future customer architecture changes.
  • Drive customer escalated issues to closure by providing workarounds and fixes in a timely manner.
  • Administration of DNS, DHCP, WINS, VMware -V and related components
  • Good understanding in VMWARE NSX components
  • Basic understanding in vRealize Automation & Orchestrator workshop for automated VM build.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities
  • Working knowledge in Scripting and Automation
  • Patching experience in Shavlik Protect/BMC BladeLogic
  • Work with Local & Global Teams
  • Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roaster and attend calls whenever assigned
