Background:
Our client is a leading provider of software solutions aimed at helping companies in the Financial Services sector utilize the very best cloud technology to make data driven decisions. They believe they offer a truly unique set of tech products to their customers globally, which aim to give them a massive competitive advantage, in what is a very saturated market place. Their results are excellent, and the client base is growing.
The role:
- Deliver new functionality to their AWS environment for the internal product development teams
- Take ownership in developing exceptional DevOps practices which offer increased performance, increased connectivity, and reduced cost
- Drive security improvements into the DevOps processes
- Be a key participant in the architectural vision of the wider platform, helping overcome technical challenges and seizing opportunities
- Building in appropriate tooling for internal teams and establishing accountability/measuring tools for the reliability of the platform
- Champion CI/CD efficiencies
- Be aware of upcoming opportunities with other vendor products in GCP and Azure, as their client base look for products to be released into multi-cloud environments - examining the differences, putting together a single cloud infrastructure design' offering which can be rolled out to clients irrespective of their cloud approach
Skill needed:
- Candidates with a development background in Python or any other Object Oriented technology would be highly desirable
- A solid background as a DevOps Engineer within AWS of at least 3 years
- Any exposure to GCP or Azure would be highly desirable
- Any experience in software delivery companies and pre sales consultancy would be desirable
- Experience in both migration projects as well as new implementations
