Fleet Analyst - 7 months - Edinburgh (currently remote)

I am looking for a Fleet Analyst for an initial 7 month contract. The usual place of work will be Edinburgh but initially you will be operating remotely. You will be working with this organisation to support their fleet delivery initiative to help accelerate the decarbonisation of public sector fleet vehicles.

As Fleet Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of our Fleets delivery programme, creating the best possible environment for public sector fleets to decarbonise in line with Programme for Government Commitments. You will be providing a set of robust modelling assumptions linked to fleet decarbonisation plans and provide detailed financial forecasts of transitioning vehicle fleets at scale.

Within the role you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing and interpreting vehicle fleet information in line with the organisation's programme ambitions. Utilise information from reports and industry to create scaled Total cost of ownership models
  • Utilising the analysis of fleet information to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Capturing and reporting back on emissions data, including scoping the emissions reductions opportunities and value.
  • Creating meaningful and robust financial assumptions for fleet replacement, including modelling for different scenarios (leasing and purchase) and for infrastructure.
  • Providing an accurate financial forecast of costs for fleet decarbonisation.
  • Understanding of budget processes and Low Carbon funding
  • Producing detailed reports outlining recommendations and costs relating to decarbonisation of public sector fleets, including synopses of modelling assumptions and real world case studies.

To be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of:

  • Data Analysis
  • Report writing
  • Data analysis, scenario planning and modelling
  • Financial modelling and reporting
  • Creating and implementing value propositions
  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge
  • Working with stakeholders to gather qualitative and/or quantitative, full data sets for analysis and use
  • Developing financial forecasts, models and mapping expenditure

This role has been deemed inside IR35 by the client, therefore the use of an Umbrella company is required. Applicants must hold, or be happy to apply for, a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland
