Our Client, one of the world's foremost IT Consultancies, is looking to recruit a Contract UNIX/LINUX Engineer to join their client in Brussels.
- installing, configuring and hardening new RHEL servers (physical and virtual)
- updating the image for the automated server deployment
- manage and use the open source infrastructure monitoring for the RH servers + troubleshooting of OS errors
- perform security patching
- manage RH Satellite for distributing packages
- manage RH idM for the admin users on the servers
- manage application service accounts
- manage server certificates and configure SSH keys for non-interactive access
- manage servers via Ansible
- manage containers at OS level
- manage the OS of Oracle physical clusters
Design of complex architectures of UNIX/Linux based server infrastructures
Installation and administration of UNIX/Linux server systems, used as DB or application servers, in large and heterogeneous networks
UNIX/Linux utilities, scripting for the automation and monitoring of system and application tasks
UNIX/Linux Servers security and hardening
UNIX/Linux Servers specific procedures for Backup and Recovery
Alerting and Monitoring
Implementation of secure server infrastructures for public organisations
A UNIX/Linux related certification
Certifications in relevant fields (e.g. storage, security or network environments)
Certifications in operational and project management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE2, PMI, ...)
TCP/IP Networking (SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP)
UNIX utilities, scripting with UNIX shell
UNIX/Linux system management tools
Unix/Linux performance tuning and analysis
Linux Installation, Administration, Troubleshooting, Upgrading
Linux Red Hat Administration
Volume Manager Tools
SMB networking solutions (Samba or equivalent)
FC-SAN storage solutions (EMC, Hitachi, IBM,…)
Installation and configuration of centralised Backup/Archiving solutions
Unix Solaris (8, 9 or 10) Installation, Administration, Troubleshooting, Upgrading
