Yoh Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Global software company that provides server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software and cloud technologies.
They are looking to hire an experienced Software QA Engineer to undertake a long term contract.
Job Description
Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Role Details & Required Skills
This will be a systems software testing role, focusing on both automated and manual testing of the Xen hypervisor within the Hypervisor product, for future releases and for releases of hotfixes and live patches.
The role involves working closely with the hypervisors development team and the quality assurance organisation, and developing automated tests using our powerful python based system test infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- Systems level quality assurance including systems, component and unit
- Using and testing Linux Operating Systems, including Kernel components
- Writing and following quality test plans
- Python
- Bash
Advantageous Skills
- C programming language
- Experience of Open Source development
- Experience with hypervisors and virtualisation
- Agile software development particularly SAFe and Scrum
- Jira for defect and issue tracking
- Networking concepts
