Description

Role:         Data/ Integration Specialist


Location:   New York, United States (100% remote to start then 50% when travel restrictions allow)

Contract Length:   12 Months

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Interpret data, analyseresults using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports (policy briefs and reports reviewing literature, explaining analytical methods and presenting the results.) that enable tracking various development trends over time (and in close to real time)
  • Develop and implement databases, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems;
    Identify, filter, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

Key Skills Required


  • At least 2 years’ experience in designing, conducting and analysinghousehold and country level data survey.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to carry out data exploration and analytics.
  • Demonstrates integrity by modellingthe business values and ethical standards.
  • Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of business.
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing to a varied and broad audience in a concise and straightforward manner.
  • Capable of working in a high- pressure environment with sharp and frequent deadlines, managing many tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational.

Desirables


  • At least two years of demonstrated experience using at least one data analysis software such as STATA, R, GAMS and MATLAB.
  • Experience with macroeconomic or microeconomic analysis.
