*PLEASE NOTE - "We're looking for software engineers that have moved up to a Leadership role. Any PM and Agile certifications are indeed an advantage, but we're not looking for project managers nor scrum masters. We're looking for software engineers that had years of experience writing code, and have now moved on to management. You must be technical in nature. Salesforce experience is desirable but not essential*

Salesforce IT Service Owner required for an initial 3 months working for a large global Oil and Gas organisation based in Sunbury, Middlesex.

The organisation has embarked on an ambitious plan to modernize and transform using digital technologies to drive efficiency, effective and new business models. You are a Salesforce Service Owner, accountable for building and running Salesforce Service and rolling it globally.

The Salesforce Service Owner will be responsible for delivering innovation at speed where it's wanted, and day-in-day-out reliability where it's needed. You will operate in a dynamic and commercially focused environment, with the resources of one of the world's largest IT departments, and some of the world's leading IT vendors at your fingertips. You will grow and strengthen our technical talent base - bringing experts together to solve the client s problems.

Essential Experience

You should have the following:

  • Scrum Master experience in a team of 8 10 people
  • Running a DevOps function responsible for delivering and maintaining reliable and commercially efficient products at scale
  • Experience of an IT business interface role balancing business demands with enterprise drivers and being the face of IT to the business.
  • Experience of leading IT projects securing investment, running governance, selecting solutions and vendors, planning, and running through to operations.

  • You ll have experience leading a team or teams with a focus on growing and developing talent and building an inclusive culture.
  • You ll have experience of managing vendors and relationships in both Matrix and line management models, in a geographically diverse environment.
  • You ll understand the business or functional area which the Service supports its strategy, market, challenges and processes.
  • You ll understand the technologies in use in the Service: their strengths, weaknesses, lifecycle and competitors.
  • You ll have experience of the business processes used to manage a corporate IT department, such as financial planning and management, risk management, acquiring and retaining talent.
