MHC are an award-winning IT and Business Consultancy, specialising in Change Management initiatives, which we deliver working in a collaborative way with our Clients. We are currently working on a wide variety of assignments that include some major Digital Transformation initiatives, Regulatory and Compliance Programmes and Tools adoption projects where we are providing specialist technical and business services to a client base of primarily Tier 1 Banks.
You will have the confidence and the capability to step straight into a specialist consultancy role within one of MHC's Practice areas to provide effective and efficient solutions that support our Clients' business requirements, while working constructively with senior MHC and Client managers and other staff.
Required skills/experience:
The job holder is expected to possess a broad range of knowledge and skills from the Microsoft stack, such as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, Power Apps, DAX, SSIS as well as Excel to develop Front End dashboards and reporting in accordance with user requirements. This will require close collaboration with the SQL Server data development team to determine how Power BI measures are best designed to support efficient and performant Power BI reporting.
Key Skills:
- Strong practical hands-on Power BI development.
- Good practical hands-on SQL Server Datamodelling language (DML) such as T-SQL programming skills.
- Excellent data Visualisation techniques with a key focus on user interface design and storytelling would be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent Management Information reporting skills.
- Good DAX, VBA, PowerShell programming skills.
- Strong mix of front UI and Back End SQL Server database work.
- Experience working with Web technologies would be a distinct advantage.
- Microsoft Certification would be a key advantage.
To be effective in this role, the primary responsibility will be to maintain the existing Power BI deployment as well as enhancing the current suite with new proof of concepts and techniques to grow the Power BI product by:
- Designing and Building Power BI dashboards and Reports to a high standard focusing on usability for both the web service as well as mobile
- Building data models using Power Query/Power Pivot that can be used for adhoc analysis.
- Assisting with management of incoming requests whilst supporting business users with queries.
- Collaborating with various business areas to understand and gather reporting requirements.
- Continuously implementing and adhere to our client's Data Policy guidelines.
You will also be expected to have a strong desire to learn and grow by developing new skills and techniques using the latest technologies:
- Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above.
- Artificial Intelligence.
- Data Science techniques.
