Description
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer to help address vulnerabilities in the our clients enterprise and telco network. You will work closely with the Cyber Fusion Centre and undertake ownership for remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
Strong depth of networking and security knowledge is essential along with demonstrable project delivery and management skills.
What you will be doing:
- Support the Team in identification and resolution of vulnerabilities;
- Manage the Change Request initiation process on a daily basis to support continuous vulnerability scanning;
- Triage vulnerability reports to the relevant stakeholders and undertake remediation and mitigation activities;
- Ensure vulnerable assets are identified and ownership is determined to support remediation activities;
- Provide on-demand evidence to the auditors on scanned assets and remediation status;
- Maintain awareness of cyber trends, threats, and vulnerabilities;
- Provide support to Security Operations Team during investigations.
Essential Skills required:
- Technical qualification or practical experience to a CCNP/CCIP level
- Advance knowledge of LAN routing (OSPF/BGP) and switching technologies, particularly in a data centre environments.
- Advance knowledge of layer 4+ technologies, particularly load balancers and Firewalls.
- Experience in network operations or infrastructure support role at a 2nd/3rd level, acquired preferably within the media sector or exposure to large enterprise networks in other sectors. Also, Involvement in project work and/or delivery of new or migrated services
- Knowledge and experience of some of the adjacent technologies, in a live environment, but an in-depth knowledge of IP and layer 2/3 technologies is essential
