Reliability Engineer (6 month contract) - Electronics Specialist

My client is a Global Engineering company with a strong reputation for delivering first class projects within Aerospace and Defence, they are seeking a Reliability Engineer. This is an exciting 6 month contract opportunity to work on exciting, cutting edge projects within a well-established and hugely successful company.
Key Responsibilities - Reliability Engineer
In the role you will be able to create, review & approve qualitative and quantitative reliability, maintainability and safety assessments during the design phases of complex electro-mechanical products.
You will be conducting assessments using an analytical approach to ensure reliability and maintainability and safety of design.
Gather & analyse failure rate data (eg FRACAS, defect databases, 217Plus/MIL-HDBK-217F), undertake time-to-failure and reliability calculations, generate reliability block diagram's (RBDs) and assess reliability architectural allocation.
Failure mode & safety assessment performed and documented in accordance with internal procedures
Produce predictions on reliability, maintainability and safety
Be part of the IPT (Integrated Product Team)
Revise and test the quality process
Understand the Customer requirements
Skills/Experience - Reliability Engineer
Thorough experience working in a Senior capacity within the RAMS fucntion on complex electro-mechanical projects. Ideally RAMS background in complex aerospace/defence systems
Experience in working and participating in a Matrix team structure
Problem solver
Great planning and organisation
Excellent numeracy and verbal skills
Computer literate
Experience in writing technical documents/reports
Degree qualified in Aerospace or mechanical engineering or similar (2:1 or above)
