We are currently establishing a Business Process Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) to support the introduction of:
- Business Process Management (BPM)
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Applicants must a) IBM BAW knowledge OR b) RPA knowledge or c) a combination of both.
We make use of the IBM Business Automation Workflow BPM/Case Management toolset for BPM and this is a core element of our automation strategy to manage end to end process design.
We are undertaking a proof of concept on RPA using WDG automation, which is now an IBM company and part of their wider Digital Business Automation (DBA) Platform, and depending on the results of this we will be extending its use more widely or undertaking commercial procurement of an enterprise class RPA product to deploy in a blended manner with BPM.
Together, these tools will form the backbone of our automation approach, supplemented by other technologies as required such as Automated Decision Making and Intelligent Document Capture.
We will be recruiting on a permanent basis to staff the CoE however, we have a number of areas where we want to accelerate work and deliver value quickly.
Therefore, we are looking for 3 Automation Developers/Analysts to join us for a six month period who have extensive experience in using IBM BAW to design business processes/user interaction and/or have experience of RPA technologies and how to deploy and configure attended/unattended bots and virtual intelligent assistants/chatbots.
These individuals will work alongside IBM consultants initially and later, as our recruitments progress, alongside permanent members of staff.
Identifying integration points between automation technologies and the wider architecture and working with technical/solution architects to define and develop these integrations.
Essential Skills
Applicants must a) IBM BAW knowledge OR b) RPA knowledge or c) a combination of both.
- Knowledge of developing business process applications using IBM BAW to an expert level, including business process design, user interaction design, data object development and development of management information as well as defining integration points into other systems
- Use of a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) toolset and ability to configure attended/unattended bots and intelligence virtual assistants
- Designing, shaping and improving business processes (working with business end users) to elicit requirements and leverage automation techniques
Desirable Skills
- Use of IBM Business Automation Insights to development management information dashboards.
- Development experience in AWS/GCP to write systems of record and expose CRUD REST APIs/write simple services or define the services which are required to support the automation
- Working with people to training and develop them in the use of automation tools
