Description

A Project Coordinator is required to join an exciting complex Project for a number of Scottish Local Authorities who are embarking on the integration of a new Software System.

The successful Project Coordinator will be working remotely initially on a part time basis, working 7 hrs per day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday which may increase with project demands.

The bulk of the Authorities are situated in Central Belt of Scotland in the unlikely event you will be required to travel to sites.

The Project Coordinator will be assisting Project Managers, Senior stakeholders within Local Authorities and 3rd Party Vendors in ensuring the implementation of a new Software System.

Key Duties of the Project Coordinator:

  • Provide an overall project plan with milestones for the authorities incorporating key dates as required by the Trust or Local Authority, along with a combined plan from the existing 3rd party supplier.
  • Provide regular weekly updates and highlight any issues that may impact the project
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels between partners and suppliers
  • Support the planning and delivery of meetings and implementation of the project with the key partners
  • Ensure the package provided is discussed and agreed with all the necessary parties within the Trust or Local Authority
  • Keep a tight and up to date records of timelines and timescales agreed and ensure that these are met with clear communications and regular updates.

Key Skills of the Project Coordinator

  • Educated to Degree level or considerable transferable skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of working with different stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent IT, Project Management and information skills and competencies
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of local authorities and trusts
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
