Technical Solutions Architect - Transformation, Strategy, Technical Designs, Public Sector
Proven Technical Solutions Architect required to help our prestigious local Authority drive forward their Transformation journey for the organisation. Our client needs a hands-on architect that can act as Technical Design Authority architect making technical assessments for the Council's Transformation. You will required to hold a number of technical design responsibilities in support of a number of key complex Projects. You will also provide advice and strategic direction using best practice technical and security principles, working to the guidance of the Programme Leads and will be required to attend both internal client and partner technical sessions - including lead technical design sessions and ownership for producing detailed design and user testing documentation.
The ideal candidate will have recently completed a similar role for another Council or Public Sectors organisation ideally. This is not a Senior Enterprise Architect role, but is a more of a Technical Solution Architect role for an individual that has responsibility of projects that run across an organisation, whereby you be mindful of wider strategy output/implications on projects being delivered.
Key accountabilities
1. Provide technical leadership and architectural design as part of the ICT Team
2. Undertake the structured analysis of technical issues, translating this analysis into technical designs that describes a solution.
3. Producing technical and security recommendations
4. Produce detailed design documentation to support the delivery of key Projects
5. Produce Test plans and will lead on all FAT/UAT activities
6. Identifying the deeper issues that need fixing. Will look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Work alongside the councils strategic partners. To collaborate and jointly deliver technical solutions
8. Can support detailed audit work of key infrastructure devices. Can intelligently review audit information and provide recommendations
9. Design systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact and business or technical complexity. Works across multiple services or a single large or complicated service.
