Netezza - I am looking for an experienced DBA with Netezza experience to for my client in Belfast, Northan Ireland. Remote options may be available
Position: Netezza DBA
Duration: 6 months +
Location: Belfast, Ireland
Rate: €300 - €400 per day
Position Summary
- Database administration in a Netezza data warehouse application
- Proactive monitoring of Netezza appliances. Ensuring a stable environment for users
- Detecting and taking action on runaway/harmful processes
- Educating teammates and users on best practices for query performance
- Self-learning and ability to reverse engineer existing data flows to troubleshoot failures
- Automation of Database administration tasks and Shell Scripting
- Assisting IBM support engineers with maintenance activity (at times may require evening and weekend work)
- Preparation and review of code for release and automation of code release processes.
- As per above but for other database technology suite as our technology stack expands over time
