One of Energize Tech's key customers, a very reputable organisation in the Public Sector of the Netherlands, are currently looking for a Splunk Technical Specialist to join their remote team.

- Start date: 04.11.2020
- End date: 30.03.2020 with optional extension
- 100% remote with maybe 1 visit on site per month if needed
- English speaking but Dutch is a big asset
Context
As a Splunk Technical Specialist you are able to maintain and improve Splunk for the Security Operations Centre. The activities consist of designing, building, auditing, migrating and managing Splunk Enterprise platform, Splunk Enterprise Security and various Splunk apps. Aspects such as scalability, performance and availability play an important role within the function. You are considered the knowledge cannon and you share your knowledge solicited and unsolicited with the people around you.
The activities include:
- Connecting new log sources to Splunk such as cloud environments, new equipment and information systems for the Security Monitoring of the SOC;
- Review of the current and new Splunk architecture;
- Implementation of the new Splunk architecture within SSC-ICT within a project;
- Assist with splunk activities within the SOC;
- Converting wishes to splunk functionality;
- Developing and documenting new apps (in collaboration with suppliers);
- Design and set up a CI/CD pipeline for Splunk apps;
- Preparing and maintaining documentation
Background Assignment
Within SSC-ICT, Splunk is used as log management and SIEM for the Security Operations Center and its customers. A new Splunk architecture has been drawn up and is being implemented within a project. An automation step should also be made to unambiguously roll out Splunk apps within the environment.
