Description
Our customer is seeking the services of an experienced Talend Data Engineer as they continue their project to implement a set of BI applications and data using a combination of Talend & Qlik Sense.
You will ideally have the following:
Essential Skills
- Proven expertise within a Data Engineer role, ideally within a cloud-based environment
- Extensive experience in Talend with SQL
- Experience in Datamodelling (Kimball, Erwin, 3NF, Dimensional and Data Vault)
- Proven experience of delivering scalable, robust and secure data solutions
- Ability to translate business needs into solutions using varying modelling tools.
- Familiarity with AWS data lake related components.
- Familiarity with providing data via Rest APIs calls and Power-Shell Scripts
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and manage change in relation to specified requirements
- Experience with building and maintaining data dictionaries/meta-data.
- Use of best practices in continuous integration and delivery
- Knowledge of Data Viz/BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau (Ideally Qlik Sense)
- Ability to operate at all stages of the software engineering life cycle
- Experience of Agile Scrum based delivery
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing/Enhancements for greater scalability.
- Work closely with Qlik developers, data managers, and technology teams to document and leverage their understanding of the data
Desirable Skills
- Data related project experience in a Datamodelling capacity including Engineer/Architect input and ETL design
- MDM (Master Data management)/Data Quality
- Qlik Sense
