Big Data Developer - With Scala & Apache Spark - 4 x Open Roles
Based in London (Initially Remote)
Initial 12 to 24 Contract
Daily Rate £400 to £450 per day (Non negotiable)

Job Description
Solid development/design background, tools, processes and distributed environment experience.
Experience of solving bigger design or programming problems, good understanding of scalability, concurrency, performance, distributed systems and has designed and implemented bigger components and systems in one language.
Requirement:
- Develop software components as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Complete the unit testing of components for integration into larger subsystems.
Skill Set:
- Must have at least 8+ years of Big Data Development Experience.
- Object Oriented Design experience for large-scale enterprise IT solutions.
- Must have good Scala knowledge, and Python would be desirable, but NOT essential.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to resolve issues).
- Experience solving problems with Apache Spark (enterprise level usage of Databricks desirable).
- Large-scale enterprise, object-oriented design and hands-on experience in building distributed systems.
- Worked with agile SDLC and TDD methodologies, with Git/GitHub and continuous integration.
- MUST have Financial Services/Banking Industry Sector Experience.
Good to have:
- If able to Analyse and understand business and technical stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to release and iteration planning and developing the working practices of the team.
- Strong understanding of Microservice design patterns and how to apply them appropriately.
- Experience in working with an investment banks' Front Office - trading, sales.
