A World Leading Energy company has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with around 5 years project management experience gained within a software development or software delivery environment ideally for a Financial Services company or for an Energy Trading company.About the role:
1. Own the plan of Aligne small projects (eg Patch upgrades, DataDirect Drive implementation, HTML5 implementation and other items on Align road map), in details:
Create and maintain and track tasks to delivery, including man effort and duration
Identify risks and dependencies and actively manage them or escalate
Report on status of the project including RAG and progress
For new projects, Identify resource requirements and skills
Understand IT deliverables and be able to challenge on effort required
Understand non-functional requirements/technical prerequisites for the project
2. Manage stakeholder communication, in details:
Work with various teams within the business and deliver through collaboration
Maintain continuous connections with teams involved in delivery (SOM, other PDTs, other project managers, IT delivery team) to understand potential blockers
Maintain continuous connection with business leads and users to proactively update on progress and highlight risks
3. Work with PMO on financial expenditure to ensure the Aligne PDT budget not over spent, in details:
Understand the cost, effort and allocation
Maintain accurate forecast of resource allocation
Skills sets required:
1. Good knowledge of project management methodology (ie planning, reporting, monitoring)
2. Excellent collaboration skills
3. Good people's management skills:
- ability to listen, ability to work with international audience
4. Proactive and clear communicator
5. DevOps (Azure Vsts) - scrum
Skills sets preferred:
1. Industry or domain knowledge, terminology such as eg Oracle, database, network, power, gas, certificates, PNL
2. Technical knowledge, such as interface, API
Preferred experience:
1. Experience in project management 4-5 years
2. Experience in application and delivery (SAP, ETRMs, CRMs, any other industry related applications)
3. Experience in power and gas or finance
