Description
Our client is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer - Scanning for known Vulnerabilities with extensive experience in Linux. This is a 6 months contract role in Reigate or Ipswich, UK however remote in the current situation.
Role Details:
Technical - Linux
- Scripts for automation/execution of scanning processes, in multiple Linux virtual environments, including RHEL5/6/7.
- Develop automation for server preparation tasks including enrolment in server management systems.
- Develop and document approaches to scanning Servers using both agents and centrally driven network scans.
- Write instructions for creation of privileged accounts for scanning Linux Servers.
- Guidelines for upgrades/installation of server management systems Satellite and Orcharhino.
- Amended Ansible scripts for Satellite/Orcharhino to push credentials onto target Servers.
- Set up monitoring for system performance and utilization.
- Respond to and resolve server outage issues.
- Create filesystems and troubleshooting filesystem issues.
- Resolve user management issues in LDAP and ADS environment.
- Resolve SAN/NAS/NFS issues in production environment
- Develop plans with vendors for hardware and software replacements/resolutions.
- Technical specifications for tactical developments.
- Technical documentation for scanning processes.
Server Vulnerability Scanning
- Provide solutions to vulnerability management and compliance issues.
- Create and maintain inventories of about 1,000 Servers for rollout of credential and agent based scans.
- Test plans and results gathering for agent and network scanning approaches.
- Dashboards to track and monitor production scanning progress across five business segments, each with at least
- five lines of business in five locations.
- Process flow descriptions.
- Training materials for agent and network scanning processes.
- Update Vulnerability Run Book where necessary for Linux administrator tasks supporting vulnerability scans.
- Updated Vulnerability Run Book documentation using Rapid7/InsightVM products.
- Use the ITIL Incident and Problem Management process.
