Description
Devonshire Hayes have been engaged by a government agency to source an experienced Content Designer with proven expertise of designing content using GDS standards. Please note GDS experience is essential for this role and candidates without it can not be considered.
You will be tasked with the following:
- Take the lead on all content design (Research, content, Stakeholder management etc)
- Take lead responsibility to create, update and review effective content for the end-to-end journey of a digital first service to help users complete their goal and government to deliver a policy intent.
- Work collaboratively with Management structure, BA's and User researchers to define the message the business wants to convey
- Take complex literature and make it simple to understand
- Build relationships both internally and externally
- Communicate with a wide range of digital delivery
- Experience of writing for the Web, proven experience of creating content that is easy to access and usable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Technical skills:
- Experience of user-centred design
- Proven experience in using metrics and user feedback to define/refine content
- Experience in choosing the best format for displaying information to the user
- Proven experience of working within a web, online and government digital service environment
- Experience in working with content management and publishing systems
- Proficient in writing Markdown
Due to the current pandemic this role will initially be full time remote, however this maybe change due to government guidelines.
