Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation with offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Lead for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be remote based.Responsibilities:
Building strong and effective relationships with leads to help drive delivery and overcome blockers.
Collating information, chasing actions, updating plans etc to support regular checkpoint meetings with planning and delivery leads.
Acting as point of contact with the Project Engagement team and Project Management Office for internal and external stakeholders.
Co-ordinating and facilitating workshop with and internal stakeholders to further progress the successful delivery and devolution of benefit lines.
Internal promotion of the role of the Project Engagement & Delivery team.
Managing workload of a Project Co-ordinator.
Control of all documentation and file management of joint products and documentation.
Support and socialisation of design work with internal boards, eg BDA/TDA/Delivery Board.
Essential Skills:
Experience Project Manager/Lead.
Previous experience working with DWP is highly advantageous.
Ability to deliver quality work in a busy and fast paced environment.
Ability to build successful, professional relationships with colleagues, specialists, senior managers and leaders that leads to successful delivery.
Ability to prioritise tasks and activities to meet deadlines.
Demonstrate where you have provided expertise, support and advice to colleagues across a range of business areas towards a common goal.
Project management certifications such as Prince 2.
Understanding of agile methodology and how to apply this.
