Digital Solutions Architect - NHS, Design, Change, Technical
Proven Digital Solutions Architect with recent experience of working within NHS environment required for a transformation programme. The role requires operating alongside existing Technical Architects, providing advice and consultancy, and undertaking design and assurance work.
General Technical Architect responsibilities include:
Document architecture proposals for appropriate stakeholder viewpoints
Identify and define non-functional requirements and relevant solution qualities
Define and document solution options as Key Architectural Decisions
Manage and maintain artefacts within Enterprise Architecture tooling
Support programmes through Architectural Review and Governance processes
Manage architecture design and change, paying attention to non-functional requirements including security, performance, scalability, availability, cost and operations.
Specific Programme Technical Architect responsibilities include:
Technical Architecture input to support workstreams develop national services that are strategically aligned to Government and NHS objectives and principles
Technical Architecture input to support continuing improvement of interoperability across the UEC estate, providing technical oversight of the development, implementation and rollout of interoperability based on modern health standards
Work closely with programme teams, their Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Programme and Project Managers.
Technical point of contact with NHS interoperability standards teams
Technical input to the supplier support function, with advice on new integrations and future migration activity.
The role requires significant engagement with multiple stakeholder groups such as the executive team, the business team, development partners, external suppliers, as well as internal teams such as Technical Architecture, Solution Assurance, Service Management, and Platforms & Infrastructure.
