Title: Application Architect - AWS Cloud Modernization
Location: Initially remote due to COVID, then base location is Manchester
Rate: £550 a day/Umbrella
Contract duration: 9 months initially
My Global technical services client is currently looking for a skilled Application Architect to work Remotely on a contractual basis to start ASAP.
Project description:
The project is an Oracle EBS/SOA upgrade to the clients Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP). PRaP is built using Oracle E-business Suite and Oracle BPEL/SOA Suite and manages the life cycle of referrals for various work programmes run by Contracted Health & Employment Services Directorate. The project will entail an EBS/SOA and DB upgrade from 11g to 19c with target apps state of SOA 12.2 and EBS 12.2.8. The project is expected to run 8 months and will involve the full project life cycle from the Design phase through AWS platform build, working in collaboration with client SRE teams to upgrade and progress application, infrastructure, integration and cutover dress rehearsal phases
Required skills:
*Broad AWS experience with demonstrated capability in configuration of native shared services and tooling
*Experienced client-facing and handling/support of live services
*AWS Network configuration capability
*Tooling generalist capability
*design and deployment of operational and security toolsets eg Prometheus, GuardDuty, Graylog
*Build automation code: Puppet, Ansible, Terraform. Broad Linux experience with demonstrated capability in building hosts for Oracle databases, integrating and troubleshooting application components at and above OS level.
*Experienced client-facing and handling/support of live services
*Experience in reviewing and developing BASH scripts & NGNIX configuration
*Build automation code: Ansible, Terraform
