Description
You will have experience of:
* Reviewing and working within existing AWS environment avoiding impact to existing live service:
* Reviewing AWS hosting configuration:
* VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, Load Balancers, Route53 DNS, S3 buckets and policies to identify components that need to be changed in support of upgrade
* Reviewing company standards and deployment pattern for implementing Prometheus monitoring within the existing VPC.
* Deploying and configuring to provide equivalent functionality to the (obsolescent) Nagios service
* Collaborating with the Engineering team, demonstrating a breadth of technical capability and operational awareness.
* Implementing the infrastructure changes using Terraform and Ansible, translating from Puppet code where required.
You will be required to have:
* Broad AWS experience with demonstrated capability in configuration of native shared services and tooling
* Experienced client-facing and handling/support of live services
* AWS Network configuration capability
* Tooling generalist capability - design and deployment of operational and security toolsets eg Prometheus, GuardDuty, Graylog
* Build automation code: Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.
