DevOps Engineer, AWS, Linux, CICD, Git, Elastic, EKS, Github, Python

Our client focusses on the delivery of technology to improve the lives of its customers. The customer is at the centre of everything they do. You will be charged with creating manageable and scalable infrastructure which is fault tolerant. You will drive and improve automation and monitoring, with some focus on security and DevSecOps. As a DevOps Engineer, you will have sound experience in implementing DevOps principles into the software development process. You will display a well-rounded experience in Source Control, Continuous Integration and Automation. Automation is a key aspect of this role, but as is a new Greenfield project focussed on Kubernetes. You will possess a humility and an ability to perform well in the softer skills which makes a critical aspect in the success of a DevOps culture. You will provide insight and advise into both design of architecture and delivery. You will be passionate about the latest developments in Cloud and the new tools coming to market.

Tech stack

  • AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, EC2, ELB, S3, Cloudwatch... etc)
  • Github actions
  • Docker
  • Backend server languages: PHP, Python

Required skills

  • Solid knowledge of AWS solutions
  • Expert knowledge of Docker and containerization (ECS, Fargate, EKS, Kubernetes)
  • Cluster deployment experience would be a nice to have
  • Excellent experience in infrastructure as code in Terraform
  • GIT
  • CI/CD pipeline creation
  • Linux knowledge
  • Elastic Beanstalk
  • Any experience in serverless or microservices would be highly desirable
  • Python, PHP or Java
