CRM Database Expert - Postgre SQL DBA - Remote
We have received instructions from one of the world's most innovative Consultancies for a CRM Database Expert. This exciting and challenging project is happening in the beautiful and vibrant city of Barcelona, however has been confirmed for remote work due to Covid 19 situation and will provide long term (12months +) job continuity and lots of job satisfaction.
POSTGRES EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY
- Working with Data Architect (Recommendation on new data structure coming in/Data processes) and SQL Programmer (Guidance and optimization on SQL)
- Managed service, so no Platform (HW) tuning is required
Area of expertise required:
APPLICATION:
- Focus is on Application Tuning - Schema & SQL
- Experience of high volumes management & Monitoring performances
- Proactive performance tuning
- Recommendations for large data schema (1Billion rows/600GB and growing)
- Partitioning experience
- Index usage & optimizations
- Contributing to schema design, access patterns, locking strategy, SQL development, and tuning
- Modifying the database structure
- Optimizing application and end-user queries (reactive tuning)
- Documentation
ACCESS:
- User/Schema management (permissions)
- Management of ITG and Prod environment and replications.
DATABASE:
- Version migration experience within AWS (V10 to 11 has to be carried out)
- Parameter configuration and tuning
- Cache management
- Job scheduling - Sanity maintenance and optimizations
- Management of ITG and Prod environment and replications.
- Knowledge of AWS RDS options and possible recommendations on other service options.
