Network Architect - IP - Gigabit Ethernet - VoIP - Cisco
This is a genuinely fantastic opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious EU Institutions in Europe.
We are on the lookout for a Network Architect with a degree (or equivalent) + at least 6 years of overall experience.
These are long term contracts with a very high chance of renewal. The longer you work there, the more valuable you become and this means that you could stay there for years.

Essential experience:
- Bachelor Degree in IT or related field with a minimum of 3 years with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional IT experience or 9 years of professional IT experience as minimum in case of no Degree
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in projects within the scope of the positin
- Experience in multi-manufacturer environments
- Experience in team-leading
- Solid knowledge of (converged) and IP-network technologies
- Architect certifications or extensive experience with networks architectures is a must have
- In-depth knowledge of IP, Gigabit Ethernet, VoIP, unified communications and Wireless-based
- Firewall, load balancing, application security, threat management, cryptography or other security technologies.
- Experience on the following is required:
- Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Unified Communications, Cisco Catalyst series
- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs/WANs
- IPSec VPN, SSL/TLS VPN, IDS/IPS
- Active Directory
- Hyper-V, VMware
- Windows and Linux OS
- Solid documentation skills in English.
- Working knowledge, written and spoken, of English required. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus
*Note. It is possible that this will be initially remote, with the expectation to full time work onsite after any restrictions have been lifted.
