Server Migration Engineer - N365 - NHS

THE NHS NEEDS YOU

Previous NHS Experience is required

£275 - £300 a day (Inside IR35)

VIQU are working with an NHS trusts by supporting them with outstanding IT projects with IT Professionals
This NHS trust is based in North Yorkshire and seeking a server migration engineer to carry out their N365 Migration project. They are currently in the process of migrating 300 Servers to windows 2016 in a virtualised environment running Hyper-V/VMware.

The successful applicant will be responsible for migrating existing Servers housed in the IT computer rooms to the latest Operating system, patching and licencing for the organisation to migrate to O365. They will need to Co-ordinate downtime with users and upgrade 100+ Servers to the latest windows O/S, fully patch and ensure all systems are licenced. They will be the point of contact for the migration and any user issues following upgrades.
Experience of the following is required to perform this role.

- HyperV/VMware, Active Directory, Microsoft windows operating systems and SQL.

- Working knowledge of backup solutions in relation to backup and restore.

- Working knowledge of clustering technologies.

- Excellent working knowledge of NHS databases and system configuration.

- Extensive knowledge and experience of upgrading Servers to new operating systems.

- Experience of working to tight timescales and moving deadlines

- NHS Experience is required
