Data Engineer urgently required to work on 6 months + contract.
Location: London/WHF
You will be responsible for developing accurate, efficient data solutions which meet customer needs to agreed timescales.
The ideal candidates will have active SC Clearance, experience working in Government Digital Services environment and extensive background working as a Data engineer with the below technical skill set:
- Experience of big data engineering techniques and concepts using the Hadoop Stack (Cloudera/EMR), which includes data ingestion, processing and storage using HDFS, Spark, Hive and Impala.
- Experience of large complex Data Engineering projects designing and developing ETL pipelines in a cloud or on premise environment
- Knowledge of design and implementation of data storage, plus HDFS, S3, relational and NoSQL
- Familiarity of developing/utilising programming and query languages, for example SQL, Java, Scala
