Data Engineer (Scala & Spark) - Contract
TEKsystems is currently looking for a number of Data Engineers to join a tier-one financial client.

Role
Development of 3 core sets of functionalities that form the backbone of the Azure-based Cloud Execution Framework. These are broken down into the following high-level capabilities:
- Scala-based orchestration of payloads with associated logging
- Migration of existing GCP Big Query Development Functional Framework functionality into Spark SQL
- Delivery of operational monitoring views using logging data created by the Orchestration and Functional
Skills & Experience
- Azure HDInsights
- Azure DataLake Gen2
- Azure Event Grid
- Spark SQL
- Scala
- Operational logging design (potentially with Splunk Integration)
- Knowledge of Scrum-based Agile Delivery
- Atlassian JIRA
- GIT/Ansible/Jenkins
